* Startup the application, make sure that Application and IDList file are in the same Folder !
* First go the the file menu and select a theme file you would like to change the sounds from (note if the theme file is in use you will be asked to make a copy, all modifications you do will be done on the copy).
The sound theme files reside in the sound set folder, which is located in the Appearance folder, the Appearance folder is located in the system folder so the path is :

* SoundThemeChanger will analyze the file and load the sound resources into category's. Important : I've made a list of items unfortunately it is not complete so you have a category undefined : these are sounds found in your sound theme file I could not place in a category. It is also possible that for a given category and name, your sound theme file has no sound for, when you play this file, you will hear nothing, however you can then attach a sound to it.
* Then select a folder containing the sounds you would like to use in the theme file (note : this is optional you can also bring up a contextual menu and select a sound file from any place on your disk)
Next Step :
* Now you can start changing sounds : select in both columns a sound and click replace, the sound theme sound resource will be replaced with the selected sound from the sound folder. There are several ways to listen to a sound : just double clicking on it will play the sound, you can also go to the play menu and select one of two sources, the sound file or a sound resource from your theme file, or for the sound resources using the contextual menu.
* You can also attach sounds which are not located in the selected sound folder : ctrl-click on the Sound item and a contextual menu will appear, here you can select : select new sound, a standard open dialog box will allow you to select any sound file which has the system sound format.
* Remove Sounds, ctrl-click on the sound item : you will have an option Remove sound.
Extra Options :
* Recording sound : you can record sounds using the mic or using other sound input devices. Just Go to the edit menu and select : Record Sound.
* You can extract sounds from other Applications or files (note : only when resource is stored in snd resource ... other theme files are a great source). Just go to the Edit menu and choose extract sounds from files.
* You can define extra sound resources BE CAREFULL : when you remove a defined item it will not be available any more, and items will automatically move to the undefined section ... however you can add with this option more sounds if you know what you are doing ...
Known Limitations :
* When not enough memory is available it can happen that even tough you can play the sound, after a replace no sound is available (any more) at the destination. This is because there was not enough memory for copying the file, try increasing the memory of the application or copy smaller sound files ...
* After extracting sounds from Applications/files, it can happen that you are not able to select another sound folder ... quit and restart the application.
* The record pannel doesn't show up when you play record ... quit and restart.
Important :
* SoundThemeChanger needs the IDList file in the same folder in order to work properly !
Pricing and how to register :
My Program has the following pricing.

Paying for SoundThemeChanger is fairly simple. Open the Register program that accompanies My Program. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you desire for each program you wish to purchase. Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register program and send the data and payment to Kagi. More specifics on the Register program to follow. Kagi handles my payment processing.
If paying with Credit Card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from Register and paste into the body of an email message or you can Save the
data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file, it's already pretty small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.
If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

Be sure to change the XXX to your two/three character identifier.
You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at present if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies, the conversion rate for non-USD checks is around USD 15 per check and that is just not practical.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You might want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the form with their payment.
Kagi can not invoice your company, you need to act on my behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email and without the payment, the form cannot be processed.
Payments send via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
Protection
My Program has a protection scheme and when you pay, we tell you how to indicate to My Program that you have paid the registration fee. If you do not have an email address, please enter your complete postal address and please remember, we do not know what country you live in so please enter that into the postal address also.

If you do not have an email address you should consider selecting the Postcard Receipt so that Kagi can inform you of your registration code. Kagi transmits the registration codes via email and paid postcard receipt only.
